AnveVoice

Best Website Voice AI for Salons (2026)

Hair, nail and beauty salons compared on AI for the website and phone: bookings, price questions and Instagram messages, using vendor-published pricing.

Best website voice AI for salons

Salon staff have their hands full of clients, so the questions that repeat all day (prices, opening hours, whether a stylist is free on Saturday) are best handled by a low-cost assistant that points to your booking link. Elfsight and Tidio are cheap text options, AnveVoice adds spoken answers on the website, and Rosie and Goodcall cover the phone. Researched from the sources below on 2026-10-14. AnveVoice is our product and appears in this list. Other tools are described from their own websites, checked on 2026-10-14. We do not receive payment from any tool listed.

How we chose

A salon's budget is small and its staff are never at a desk. We ranked tools on how well they take routine questions off the stylists without trying to replace the booking system you already use.

  • Cost for a one- to ten-chair shop (highest weight): a free or very low entry price counted heavily.
  • Booking handoff: the tool should send people to your booking link or calendar, not invent availability.
  • Where clients actually message: Instagram and Messenger matter to salons more than to most businesses, so we noted channel lists.
  • Phone coverage while hands are busy: a missed call during a colour treatment is a lost booking.
  • No technical skills required: the owner should be able to set it up between clients.

Elfsight: the least expensive chatbot widget here

Elfsight sells widgets for small sites, including a no-code AI chatbot trained on your pages, PDFs and Q&A entries. For a salon, you can upload the service menu and price sheet and let the bot answer; booking runs through Calendly or Cal.com, with lead capture and hand-off to a person. The embed code pastes into WordPress, Shopify, Wix or Squarespace pages. There is a free forever plan with 50 messages a month and no card, and Basic is $5 a month billed yearly ($6 monthly) for 5,000 widget views on a single-app plan, as checked on 2026-10-14. The pricing page gives per-app plans by widget views, not chatbot message limits for paid tiers. Limitation: text only, no voice, and its action buttons open pages or links rather than fill forms. Calendly or Cal.com is a precondition for booking.

Tidio: a free plan that reaches Instagram and Messenger

Tidio combines website chat with Lyro, an AI agent that answers only from approved sources, and lists Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp among its channels. Salons that get price questions through Instagram direct messages can answer them in the same inbox as website chat. The free plan gives 10 seats and 50 billable conversations a month, and Lyro's first 50 conversations are free for life. Starter is $24.17 a month for 100 billable conversations; the page does not say whether that is the monthly or annual price. Limitation: no voice is mentioned, the product is aimed mainly at ecommerce, and a busy salon will outgrow 50 conversations quickly.

AnveVoice: ask the website for tonight's prices by voice

AnveVoice answers questions from the salon's own pages by voice and can send a visitor to the booking page or fill the site's own contact form. A client on their phone on a bus can say 'how much for a balayage' and be shown the page, without opening a menu. It states a median response of about 487 ms. Pricing as of 2026-10-14: Free at $0 with 50,000 tokens a month and one bot, Growth at $39, Scale at $129. The free plan suits one salon site. Limitation: website only, so it does not answer the phone or Instagram, and it does not see your appointment book unless availability is visible on the pages it reads.

Rosie: a phone receptionist built for small shops

Rosie answers calls, books appointments and texts you the details, and a website chat widget is included on all plans. Its call summaries, transcripts and spam filtering mean a stylist can check a text after a client leaves. It learns from your website or Google Business Profile and supports English and Spanish. Professional is $49 a month for 250 minutes, Scale $149 for 1,000, with a 7-day trial on each plan and two months free on annual billing. Website Texting is a $50 monthly add-on. Limitation: its website element is text chat, voice on the website is not mentioned, and overage per minute is not stated on the page.

Goodcall: calendar booking by phone, billed per client

Goodcall answers calls, qualifies callers, books on your calendar and can transfer to a person. Billing is per unique customer, so a regular client who calls three times to move an appointment counts once. Starter is $79 a month for 100 unique customers, Growth $129 for 500 and Scale $299 for 2,000. There is no free trial, but you can test a demo agent for free before connecting a number. Limitation: it is a phone service and does not mention web chat or website voice. The call-count figures on its pricing page are approximations.

Comparison at a glance

Entry prices run from a few dollars to a few hundred a month; most salons will land on one text or voice tool for the site and one for the phone.

A sensible salon setup

Start with the free tools. Put a price list and a booking link on the website, add one assistant, and see whether the questions it gets are the ones your front desk was fielding. Add a phone service only after you can count the calls you actually miss. Keep the assistant out of the appointment book unless the vendor's own documentation says it connects to your booking system. Sending people to the booking link avoids double bookings.

  • Upload the full service menu with durations and prices.
  • State your cancellation policy in a short, plain page the assistant can quote.
  • Check wording for patch tests and allergies; those belong to a stylist.
