AnveVoice vs Gupshup: Website Voice vs WhatsApp
AnveVoice is a voice agent for your website; Gupshup is a messaging platform built around WhatsApp, SMS and RCS. How they differ, pricing and fit.
AnveVoice vs Gupshup
Gupshup is a conversational AI platform centred on WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS and RCS, with per-message pricing. AnveVoice is a voice agent that lives on your website, where visitors talk to it and it can navigate pages and fill your site's own forms. The two barely overlap, so the real question is where your customers talk to you. Researched from the sources below on 2026-10-14. AnveVoice is our product. Information about Gupshup comes from Gupshup's own website, checked on 2026-10-14; plans and prices change, so confirm on their site.

How they differ
Gupshup's published material is about conversations that happen inside messaging apps. Its channel list is WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS and RCS, plus WhatsApp voice calls, and it describes AI agents for sales, marketing and support that can hand over to human teams. The audience it describes is a business that already talks to customers on WhatsApp, often to send notifications, run campaigns or handle service requests. AnveVoice sits in a different place. It is installed on a website, the visitor presses a microphone button, and the conversation happens in the browser. Because it runs on the page, it can scroll to a section, open the right page or fill in a form the website already has, such as a booking or contact form. It has no WhatsApp, SMS, phone or email channel at all. Gupshup's site does not say whether it offers a browser voice widget, and does not say whether its agents can act on a web page. We have not assumed either way. If either matters to you, ask Gupshup directly and test it, because a missing line on a marketing page is not proof that a feature is absent.
Pricing compared
Gupshup's pricing page, checked on 2026-10-14, shows a Gupshup fee of $0.001 per message for both template and session messages, with WhatsApp's own fees added at actuals. Gupshup's voice fee is shown as $0.0001 per second, which works out to $0.006 per minute by our arithmetic. The page also says the first 1,000 WhatsApp Service messages carry no WhatsApp fee, that inbound WhatsApp voice calls carry no WhatsApp fee, and that Meta will charge for Service messages from October 1, 2026. Country-specific rates are referenced but not shown, and enterprise pricing sits on a page we did not read. AnveVoice charges flat monthly tiers instead: Free at $0 with 50,000 tokens and one bot, Growth at $39/month with 2 million tokens and 5 bots, and Scale at $129/month with 8 million tokens and unlimited bots. There is no per-message or per-minute charge. These two models do not convert into each other, because a message sent to a customer on WhatsApp and a spoken answer to a website visitor are different units. Compare them by estimating your own volume on each channel. Prices are those published on each vendor's site on 2026-10-14. Gupshup says country-specific rates apply; check the current figure for your countries.
Choose Gupshup if
- Your customers already live on WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS or RCS and you want automation there. AnveVoice does not cover any of these channels.
- You send outbound notifications or campaigns using approved message templates, which is what the per-message pricing is built around.
- You want self-serve WhatsApp API pricing that is published openly, with the first 1,000 Service messages free of WhatsApp fees.
- You need escalation from an AI agent to a human team inside a messaging conversation.
- Your main goal is commerce or marketing conversations in messaging apps rather than help for people already browsing your site.
Choose AnveVoice if
- You want visitors to speak to your website and get answers from its own content without typing.
- You want the agent to take action on the page, such as moving to the right page or completing the site's own contact or booking form.
- You prefer a flat monthly price and a free plan with no card, rather than metered messages.
- You are running WordPress or Shopify and want an install as short as one script tag, a plugin or an app.
Using both together
A business can reasonably run both. Think of the website visit and the follow-up as two stages. AnveVoice helps the visitor while they are on the site, for example by answering product questions or filling an enquiry form. Gupshup then carries the relationship afterwards through WhatsApp: order updates, reminders and campaigns to people who have opted in. The two do not share data automatically. If you want a form submitted through AnveVoice to trigger a WhatsApp message, that connection happens through your own website's form handling and whatever tooling you already use for Gupshup, not through a built-in link between the products.
