Add a Voice AI Agent to Concrete CMS (2026)
Add the AnveVoice voice agent to Concrete CMS using Dashboard, System and Settings, SEO and Statistics, Tracking Codes, with cache and theme notes.
How to add AnveVoice to a Concrete CMS site
Concrete CMS has a built-in Tracking Codes tool that inserts a script into every page without editing theme files. Open it from the Dashboard under System and Settings, SEO and Statistics, paste the AnveVoice tag in the footer field, save, and clear the cache. Steps checked against the official documentation on 2026-10-14.
At a glance
- Where the code goes: Dashboard > System & Settings > SEO & Statistics > Tracking Codes (footer)
- Coding needed: None: paste and save
- Plan limits: None: Concrete CMS documents the tool without any plan restriction (hosted Concrete plans may differ)
- Time: About 2 minutes
Before you start
Sign up at app.anvevoice.app (Free plan: $0, 50,000 tokens a month, one bot, no card) and copy your embed ID. You need dashboard access as an administrator. Concrete CMS's user guide describes Tracking Codes as a way to insert a script into the site header or footer without editing template files, and notes it is also handy for verifying a site with Google and Bing. Any script pasted there is inserted automatically at the top or bottom of every page, wherever you specify. The guide itself carries a notice that it is not for the most recent release, so labels may differ slightly in your version.
- 1. Copy your install tag — Replace YOUR_EMBED_ID with the ID shown in your AnveVoice dashboard (app.anvevoice.app). Optional URL parameters are &position=bottom-left and &theme=dark. Code: <script src="https://anvevoice.app/embed.js?embedId=YOUR_EMBED_ID" async></script>
Method 1: Dashboard Tracking Codes
- 1. Open the Dashboard — Sign in and click the Dashboard icon in the toolbar.
- 2. Go to Tracking Codes — Choose System & Settings, then SEO & Statistics, then Tracking Codes.
- 3. Paste into the footer field — Put the AnveVoice tag in the field that inserts code at the bottom of the page. A community thread about a 9.2.0 site confirms the page offers a header and a footer location and nothing more granular, and that the footer is still inside the page body, so it works for a widget.
- 4. Save and clear the cache — Save the page. Then open Dashboard > System & Settings > Optimization > Clear Cache and clear it, so cached pages are regenerated with the tag.
Method 2: edit your theme
If your host or build process manages the theme, you can place the tag in the theme's footer template, above the closing body tag and before the call that outputs Concrete's required footer elements. Use it when you cannot give an editor access to the dashboard tool or when you want the tag under version control. Do not do both; use one location so the tag appears once. Themes must output Concrete's required header and footer elements for tracking codes to be printed. Community reports describe tracking code appearing to do nothing until a theme or template element was added. If you use a highly customised theme or a page type that omits those elements, check the page source after saving before assuming a fault in the tool.
Concrete CMS points to know
Site-wide only: Tracking Codes applies to every page, and the documentation warns that an error in a pasted script can affect the whole site. That is a reason to test on a staging copy for important sites, or at least to keep a copy of the previous field contents. Check on the published page: judge the button on the live page viewed in a private window, not inside the editing toolbar view, so that what you see matches what visitors see. Multisite: if you run multiple sites from one Concrete installation, confirm which site's settings you changed, and repeat the step for each site that should show the assistant.
Check that it works
- 1. Open a published page in a private window — This shows visitors' view with no toolbar.
- 2. Look for the voice button — A round microphone button appears bottom-right by default; allow the microphone (HTTPS required) and ask something.
- 3. Inspect the source — Search for anvevoice.app/embed.js near the end of the body.
Common problems on Concrete CMS
- Nothing after saving: clear the cache under Dashboard > System & Settings > Optimization, then reload in a private window.
- Tag missing in the source: the theme does not output the required footer elements, so the tracking field has nowhere to print.
- Button inside edit mode looks odd: view the published page instead.
- Tag appears twice: it exists both in Tracking Codes and in the theme.
