Best Voice AI for Framer Websites (2026)
Six tools for adding voice or AI chat to a Framer site, checked against Framer's Custom Code tab, paid-plan note, publish-only behaviour and published pricing.
Best voice AI for Framer sites: tools for the Custom Code tab
Framer treats each injected script as a named item with its own placement, page list and run rule, which makes adding a voice agent tidy. AnveVoice, ElevenLabs, Vapi and Retell bring browser voice; Typebot and Chatbase bring text flows and trained answers. Nothing runs on the canvas, so test on the published site. Researched from the sources below on 2026-10-14. AnveVoice is our product and appears in this list. Other tools are described from their own websites, checked on 2026-10-14. We do not receive payment from any tool listed.
How we chose
Framer sites are built by designers who care about motion and polish, and they publish fast. A widget that looks bolted on is a real cost, so we valued small floating launchers over layout blocks, and we valued control over placement and which pages load the script. Framer's help says custom code needs a paid plan, but it has changed its plan lineup recently, so check your Plans tab. Everything below was read from vendor sites on 2026-10-14.
- Single script or embed install, with a page list so it can be limited to some pages.
- Voice available in the visitor's browser.
- Visual restraint: a launcher that does not fight the design.
- Honest free tier or trial.
- Clear pricing unit.
1. AnveVoice: set once, runs on the pages you pick
In Framer you add a script named AnveVoice under Custom Code, choose the end of the body, leave the pages list empty for the whole site and set it to run once, since the tag ignores a second copy. A round microphone launcher appears bottom-right, or bottom-left with a URL option. Free at $0 with 50,000 tokens a month and one bot, no card; Growth $39 a month; Scale $129 a month (2026-10-14). Limitations: it is invisible on the canvas and preview, it has no phone line, and it depends on your Framer plan having custom code.
2. ElevenLabs Agents: the premium-voice route
ElevenLabs gives designers a widget and a studio-quality voice. Combined with Framer's per-page scripts, a team can run a bespoke assistant only on a pricing or contact page. Docs show 31 agent languages. Free: 15 call minutes and four concurrent calls; Starter $6 a month; Creator $22 for 275 minutes (2026-10-14). Limitation: language-model usage is billed separately and page navigation is developer-written.
3. Vapi: script widget or npm component
Vapi's CDN script widget loads with a public key and assistant ID, and its npm package suits a Framer code component. Teams that want to pick speech and language models independently will like the pass-through model costs. $0.05 a minute hosting plus provider costs; Core $29 a month; $5 free credit (2026-10-14). Limitation: you assemble the assistant, so the total per-minute cost is higher.
4. Retell AI: one agent for the site and phone
Retell offers a Web SDK and a website voice widget, plus phone numbers. For a Framer studio's client that also takes calls, a single agent definition can serve both. From $0.07 a minute, $10 free credit, 20 free concurrent calls, with billing to the second and no charge for failed calls (2026-10-14). Limitation: there is no permanent free plan.
5. Typebot: embed a flow as a bubble, popup or container
Typebot's bots embed as containers, popups or chat bubbles, and Framer appears in its supported list with Webflow, WordPress, Shopify, React and Next.js. It is open source with 45 or more building blocks and OpenAI connections, so it suits quote requests and lead flows. Free: unlimited typebots, 200 chats a month; Starter $39 a month for 2,000 chats (2026-10-14). Limitation: text only, and exceeding a limit moves you up a tier automatically.
6. Chatbase: trained agent with a copy-paste embed
Chatbase publishes with a single click or a pasted code and trains on your content. Framer sites with long documentation or portfolio text can use it as a question-answering layer. Hobby $40 a month for 700 credits with a 7-day trial; remove-branding add-on $99 a month (2026-10-14). Limitation: credit-based pricing is harder to forecast and browser voice is not described.

Framer behaviours to know
Framer does not validate pasted code, so a typo breaks a script silently. Open the browser console on the live page if the launcher is missing. A page-level setting overrides what site level sets for the same item, which is handy if one landing page needs a different launcher position. If your site shows a cookie banner, decide whether the voice agent should load before or after consent. Framer allows HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with link, script, meta and style tags, and no server languages.
A quick decision
Think about mobile as well: a floating launcher sits above page content on a phone, so check it does not cover a sticky call-to-action button in your Framer layout. Run the script once, set the placement at the end of the body, and review the published page at phone width before launch. Pick the finished agent if you want speed. Pick Vapi or ElevenLabs if the voice experience itself is the product. Pick Typebot if conversion forms are what you need and voice is not.
