How to add AnveVoice to a Kajabi site

Kajabi's site-wide field is Settings > Site details > Page scripts > Header Page Scripts, which goes into the head of every page except checkout and upsell pages. For one page, use a Custom Code block, which needs script tags, not the page Settings panel, which forbids them. Steps checked against the official documentation on 2026-10-14.

Three places, three behaviours

Kajabi's help centre separates custom code by scope, and each place treats script tags differently. That difference is where most mistakes happen, so read this section before pasting. Site-wide code goes in the Header Page Scripts field and is included in the head of every page on your website except Offer checkout and upsell pages. Single-page code can go in the page builder's Settings tab under Custom Code, but there Kajabi says to leave out style and script tags, which means it accepts raw JavaScript rather than a script element with a src. A Custom Code block, placed inside a section, is the opposite: it needs the tags to work. For AnveVoice, whose install is a script tag with a src, the field to use site-wide is Header Page Scripts, and the block to use on one page is the Custom Code block. Get your embed ID by creating a free voice bot at app.anvevoice.app.

1. Prepare the tag — Insert your own embed ID. This is a complete script element, so it suits the Header Page Scripts field and the Custom Code block, and not the page Settings panel. Code: <script src="https://anvevoice.app/embed.js?embedId=YOUR_EMBED_ID" async></script>

Method 1: every page

1. Open Settings — From the Dashboard, open Settings.
2. Go to Site details — Under Site settings, click Site details.
3. Paste in Header Page Scripts — Under Page scripts, add the AnveVoice tag in the Header Page Scripts field.
4. Save — Click Save and then load a public page.

Method 2: one page with a Custom Code block

Kajabi suggests this block for embeds such as a calendar booking widget. A floating voice button is not tied to the block's position on the page, so place the block anywhere in a section that does not change your layout.

1. Open the page — Under Website, find the website page or landing page and click its title to open the page builder.
2. Add the block — Open a section, click Add block, and choose Custom Code.
3. Paste the tag — Put the AnveVoice script element in the Code field. Kajabi states that a Custom Code block needs script tags for JavaScript.
4. Save and publish — Click Save, then publish the page.

Checkout pages need separate handling

Header Page Scripts skips Offer checkout and upsell pages. Kajabi manages checkout code under Settings > Payment settings > Checkout, in a Checkout Tracking Code section with header and footer fields. Kajabi's own warning is worth repeating: custom JavaScript on checkout pages runs with access to page content, and malicious code could compromise checkout security or customer data. Decide deliberately whether a voice agent belongs on a payment step. Tracking code you add there is placed at the end of the body of each checkout page, and Kajabi lets you switch it off per offer's Enhanced Checkout page.

The code editor is a different feature

Kajabi also has a full code editor, reached through Modify code on templates and pages. The help article says it is only available with the Pro plan and not available for checkout pages. You do not need it for AnveVoice, so skip it unless you already edit your theme files.

Check that it works

1. Open the live site — Use a private window and your real domain, not the builder.
2. Find the microphone — A round button appears bottom-right. Click it, allow microphone access, and ask a question.
3. Test a landing page and a checkout — Landing pages and website pages should show it. Checkout pages will not unless you used the checkout field.

Common problems

Code in page Settings does nothing: that panel takes raw JavaScript without tags, so a script element does not work there. Use the Custom Code block or Header Page Scripts.
Missing on checkout: expected from Header Page Scripts; use the checkout tracking fields only if you want it there.
Third-party code risk: Kajabi cautions to trust the source of any code you add.
Microphone blocked: confirm your domain loads over HTTPS.
