Best No-Code Chatbot Builders (2026): 7 Compared
Seven no-code chatbot builders compared on how you build, scripted versus AI behaviour, deployment channels and pricing limits. Vendor data checked 2026-10-14.
Best no-code chatbot builders: seven compared
No-code chatbot builders let you design a bot without programming. Seven publish enough to compare: Landbot, Typebot, Chatbase, Elfsight, ChatBot.com, Botpress and Voiceflow. They split into flow builders and train-on-your-content tools, and the right one depends on which you need. Researched from the sources below on 2026-10-14. AnveVoice is our product. It is left out of the ranked list because it does not fit this use case, and the page says so. Other tools are described from their own websites, checked on 2026-10-14. We do not receive payment from any tool listed.
How we chose
We looked at how each tool says you build, what the bot can do after it is built, and what the plan limits mean for a small team. We did not build the same bot on each tool.
- Building experience (weighted most): visual flow, plain-language prompts, or training on your content.
- Scripted versus AI behaviour, and whether the AI answers only from your content.
- Channels the finished bot can run on.
- Pricing basis and free tier, including limits in chats, credits or resolutions.
- Stated limits and caveats.

1. Landbot: a flow builder with an AI copilot
Landbot lets you build chatbots and agents for a website and WhatsApp Business without code. An AI Copilot generates flows from a description, rules and AI are mixed so answers come only from your content, and humans can take over with context. HubSpot and Salesforce integrations are native. Free forever gives 100 chats a month (no AI chats, web only, one seat); Starter is EUR 32 a month billed annually for 500 chats, Professional EUR 80 for 2,500, Business from EUR 400. Limitation: WhatsApp costs more and no voice is mentioned.
2. Typebot: open-source visual flows with AI blocks
Typebot is an open-source no-code builder with 45+ blocks and OpenAI and other AI provider connections. You choose a template or start blank, test in real time and publish to an embed, WordPress, Shopify, React, Next.js, Webflow, Framer or WhatsApp. Free has unlimited typebots and 200 chats a month; Starter is $39 for 2,000 chats; Pro $89 for 10,000, monthly billing only. Limitation: its homepage mentions no trial while setup steps mention a risk-free one, plans upgrade automatically at the chat limit, and there is no voice.
3. Chatbase: train an agent on your content
Chatbase builds support agents trained on your content and publishes them to a website 'with a single click' or copy-paste code, plus email, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Slack, Shopify and Zendesk. Agents run procedures with built-in actions such as order lookup and cancelling a subscription. Hobby is $40 a month for 700 message credits (7-day trial), Standard $150 for 4,000 credits, Pro $500 for 15,000; yearly billing takes 20% off. Extra agents cost $25 a month and removing branding $99. Limitation: credit-based pricing needs watching, and there is no free plan.
4. Elfsight AI Chatbot Widget: the lightest way to put a trained widget on a site
Elfsight's chatbot widget trains on PDFs, DOCX files, Q&A entries and website pages, then runs as an embed in any HTML. It offers booking via Calendly or Cal.com, lead capture and human hand-off, with an interface in 78 languages. Free forever includes 50 messages a month and 10M characters of knowledge storage; paid plans begin at $5 a month billed yearly. Limitation: little flow-building power compared with the flow tools, and paid chatbot message limits are not itemised.
5. ChatBot (chatbot.com): auto-build a knowledge base from your site URL
ChatBot, from Text (formerly LiveChat), builds a knowledge base when you paste your website URL and adds the chat widget with a code snippet, with direct Shopify and WordPress integrations. It hands over to human agents in a shared inbox with full context. Essential is $19 per user a month billed annually ($25 monthly) with 10 AI resolutions a month; Growth is $79 ($99 monthly) with 200. Extra resolutions cost about $0.99 each. Limitation: no permanent free tier (14-day trial), voice is not mentioned, and its API-call limits are stated inconsistently.
6. Botpress: a builder with real depth, aimed at developers
Botpress builds AI agents for support with webchat, WhatsApp and Slack deployment and a React library for more control. Workflows let agents take actions such as refunds and account updates. Free allows 100 conversations a month, 3 seats and 3 AI agents; Plus is $150 a month billed annually; Team $750. Limitation: it is the most technical tool here, and the free-to-paid jump is large.
7. Voiceflow: voice and chat from one design canvas
Voiceflow designs voice and chat AI agents deployed through an embeddable chat widget, mobile app, phone numbers (inbound and outbound), SMS through Twilio or its Conversations API. It offers environments for development, staging and production, and multi-client workspaces with white-labeling for agencies. Business pricing is on request; agencies use usage-based billing, and there is a free trial with no card for agencies and partners. Limitation: no plan prices are published, and in-browser voice is not stated, as voice is covered via phone numbers.
Flow builders versus train-on-content
Flow builders (Landbot, Typebot, Voiceflow) give you precise control of each step, which suits forms, qualification and regulated scripts. Train-on-content tools (Chatbase, Elfsight, ChatBot) give you a quick answering agent from your documents, with less control over the path. Many sites want a hybrid: a scripted start (what do you need?) and an AI fallback for open questions. Landbot and Botpress describe mixing rules with AI.
Before you pick
- Write the five conversations the bot must handle and test each tool against them.
- Check the plan unit (chats, credits, resolutions) against your expected traffic.
- Find out how you export your bot if you leave.
