BigCommerce has no voice app we could confirm from vendor pages, but its Script Manager can load any hosted script on storefront pages, which suits AnveVoice, ElevenLabs, Vapi and Retell for voice and Chatbase or Tidio for chat. How we chose

We must be careful on this page. The vendor datasets we use do not describe BigCommerce-specific apps for these tools, so none is listed here because of a BigCommerce listing. Instead we picked tools whose own sites describe a script-tag or copy-and-paste embed, which is what Script Manager accepts. BigCommerce limits matter more than vendor features: Script Manager works only with Stencil themes, scripts on payment pages need integrity hashes, and a new script can take about 20 seconds to appear on a hosted storefront. Prices and facts were checked on 2026-10-14.

1. AnveVoice: a hosted tag that suits the Footer placement

The install guide for BigCommerce uses Script Manager: create a script, place it in the Footer, choose Storefront pages, set the category to Functional and paste the tag. Because the hosted file can change when AnveVoice updates it, we advise against pinning an integrity hash, which is also why we recommend keeping it off payment pages. Retell supports a Web SDK and an embeddable voice widget alongside phone numbers. A BigCommerce merchant that also takes order calls can run both from one agent definition. 5. Chatbase: copy-paste agent trained on your content

Chatbase says you can embed with simple copy-paste code or publish with a click, and it lists Shopify and Zendesk channels. Its agents run actions such as order lookup and invoices. For BigCommerce, treat it as a generic embed. Hobby is $40 a month for 700 credits with a 7-day trial; Standard $150 with 4,000 credits (2026-10-14). Limitation: its listed actions are backend ones, and voice in the browser is not stated.

6. Tidio: lightweight chat, connects to a website

Tidio's setup notes say you connect Shopify, WooCommerce or your website, with nothing to install on your servers. For a BigCommerce shop, the website route is the relevant one. Free includes 10 seats and 50 billable conversations; Starter $24.17 a month (2026-10-14). Limitation: no BigCommerce integration is described, and voice is not mentioned.

Script Manager settings that decide the result

Choose Footer placement and the Storefront pages location, which covers all pages except checkout and order confirmation. The All pages option adds checkout, where BigCommerce expects integrity hashes, and where scripts render only if Optimized One-Page Checkout is enabled. The category you pick feeds the cookie banner. A voice assistant is an optional feature, so Functional is the closest fit, but shoppers who decline it will not see the button. Also remember that local Stencil CLI development does not render Script Manager scripts.

Honest caveats

If your storefront still uses the older Blueprint engine, none of this works until you move to Stencil. If you manage several storefronts, open Script Manager through Channel Manager for each one. And if voice is not essential, a plain chat tool will be simpler.
