Best Voice AI for WooCommerce Stores (2026)
Five voice and chat assistants for WooCommerce shops, checked for footer-script install, checkout handling, order-status help, free tiers and pricing units.
Best voice AI for WooCommerce: five assistants for WordPress shops
WooCommerce runs inside WordPress, so a footer script reaches shop, product, cart and checkout pages alike. AnveVoice and ElevenLabs add browser voice; Tidio and Text add chat with order help for WooCommerce; tawk.to gives free live chat. Pick by whether shoppers should speak, and by how your store grows. Researched from the sources below on 2026-10-14. AnveVoice is our product and appears in this list. Other tools are described from their own websites, checked on 2026-10-14. We do not receive payment from any tool listed.
How we chose
A WooCommerce store has products, a cart and a checkout, but no separate theme layer: every page renders through WordPress. That helps, because a single header-and-footer plugin can load a tool everywhere. It also means you decide, deliberately, whether a widget should appear on the payment step. We looked for tools whose own pages mention WooCommerce or a WordPress route, then weighed voice, order help, price units and free tiers. Everything was checked on 2026-10-14.
- A WooCommerce or WordPress route named by the vendor, or a generic embed that a footer plugin can hold.
- Voice in the browser for shoppers.
- Order and product awareness, such as order status lookups.
- A price unit that stays sensible as your order count grows.
- A free plan or trial for a store that is still tuning.
1. Tidio: WooCommerce-aware chat with the Lyro agent
Tidio's setup notes name WooCommerce and Shopify as stores you can connect, and it lists a WordPress plugin. Lyro, its AI agent, handles order status and returns flows and answers only from approved sources. On a WooCommerce shop, that is the most direct match to repetitive post-purchase questions on this list. Free plan: 10 seats and 50 billable conversations a month, with Lyro's first 50 conversations free; Starter $24.17 a month for 100 billable conversations; Growth from $49.17 (2026-10-14). Limitation: no voice features, and price rises with conversation volume.
2. AnveVoice: voice for product and policy questions
For WooCommerce we describe two routes: a WordPress plugin, or the footer box in a plugin such as WPCode. The agent answers from your product pages, shipping and returns text, and can send a shopper to the right category or fill your own site forms. Our install guide shows how to skip the checkout page with a short wp_footer snippet. Pricing as published: Free at $0 with 50,000 tokens a month, Growth $39 a month, Scale $129 a month. Limitations: it does not claim order lookups against WooCommerce data, it is website-only, and it asserts no compliance certification on its agents page.
3. Text (formerly LiveChat): per-seat chat with an AI Agent
The Text brand, shown on livechat.com, pairs classic live chat with an AI Agent that can fetch order status through Shopify or WooCommerce. It has a WordPress plugin among its install routes and more than 200 integrations, which suits stores with a support team. Essential is $19 per user a month billed annually; Growth is $79; a 14-day trial replaces a free plan (2026-10-14). Limitation: every added teammate adds a seat charge, and voice is not mentioned.
4. ElevenLabs Agents: a voice widget a developer wires to your catalogue
ElevenLabs offers a widget that can be added to any site plus phone through SIP trunking. Its client tools run in the browser, so a developer could make the agent open a product page or fill a form. It is a toolkit, not a WooCommerce product. Free gives 15 call minutes; Starter $6 a month for 75 minutes; Creator $22 for 275 (checked 2026-10-14). Limitation: you must build the catalogue connection yourself, and model usage is billed on top.
5. tawk.to: free chat for a shop that answers its own messages
tawk.to pastes in as one JavaScript snippet, lists WordPress, and includes a free knowledge base, ticketing and native apps for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows. It is a sensible low-cost start for a small shop owner. Core chat is free; AI Assist starts at $29 a month, and hired agents start at $1 an hour (2026-10-14). Limitation: automation is a paid extra and browser voice is unconfirmed.

Footer plugin or snippet?
WooCommerce's own developer guidance recommends the Code Snippets plugin over editing functions.php, because theme updates erase edits and one syntax error can take a site down. A header-and-footer plugin is simpler if you want the widget everywhere. A wp_footer snippet is better if you want it on the catalogue but not at payment, using the is_checkout() conditional. Caching matters too. WooCommerce says Cart, My Account and Checkout should be excluded from page caches, and it advises against minifying JavaScript with some optimisers. A static footer script usually works on cached pages, but you may need to exclude the vendor script from combining or delay features.
What to expect from each type
Chat tools reduce repetitive ticket volume. A voice agent lowers friction for shoppers on mobile who would rather ask than type, and it lets them describe what they want in their own words. Test both against your real question mix before you pay for either.
