Best Voicebot for Websites (2026): 4 Options Compared

Four voicebots a website can run in the browser, compared on what a month of visitor conversations would cost and how much setup each one needs.

Best voicebot for websites: four options compared

A voicebot for a website means a bot visitors can speak with in the browser. Four products publish exactly that: AnveVoice, ElevenLabs, Vapi and Retell AI. The biggest difference between them is how you are billed, so this comparison puts the cost model first. Researched from the sources below on 2026-10-14. AnveVoice is our product and appears in this list. Other tools are described from their own websites, checked on 2026-10-14. We do not receive payment from any tool listed.

How we chose

We looked for voicebots a visitor can talk to on a web page, then ranked them for a site owner who wants to know what the bill will look like. Text-only chatbots and phone-only agents are out of scope.

  • Billing shape (weighted most): flat tiers, minute plans, or per-minute rates with extras, and whether the headline price is the whole price.
  • Time to a working voicebot on a live page, from sign-up to first spoken answer.
  • Quality controls the vendor describes, such as knowledge sources, supported languages or handoff.
  • Who has to maintain it: a site owner in a dashboard, or an engineer in code.
  • Limits the vendor states openly, which we count in its favour.

The shortlist at a glance

Tools are ordered by fit to the criteria above, not by price or popularity. Pricing columns describe how each vendor charges, using the vendor's own pricing page checked on 2026-10-14.

1. AnveVoice: flat tiers instead of per-minute billing

AnveVoice charges flat tiers rather than by the minute or seat. The Free plan is $0 with 50,000 tokens a month and one bot, no card required. Growth is $39 a month (₹2,999) for 2M tokens and 5 bots, and Scale is $129 a month (₹9,999) for 8M tokens and unlimited bots. Those figures come from its pricing page, checked 2026-10-14. For a small site, the practical meaning is that a busy month will not surprise you until you reach the token allowance. It installs with one script tag, and its published strengths are answering from the site's own content and filling the site's own forms. Limitation: tokens, not minutes, are the unit, so you need a few test conversations to learn how far 2M tokens stretches; and there is no phone channel.

2. ElevenLabs Agents: minute plans with a free tier to test

ElevenLabs sells call minutes in plans: Free (15 minutes, 4 concurrent calls), Starter $6 a month for 75 minutes, Creator $22 for 275, Pro $99 for 1,238, Scale $299 for 3,738 and Business $990 for 12,375. Extra minutes cost $0.08, and exceeding your concurrency can trigger a $0.16 burst rate. That ladder is easy to reason about for a voicebot with modest traffic: multiply expected conversations by average minutes. The widget is a single element dropped into the page. Limitation: the LLM that powers the agent's answers is billed separately, and telephony providers bill you directly if you add phone, so the plan price is only part of the monthly total.

3. Vapi: pay for exactly what you wire together

Vapi charges a hosting fee of $0.05 per minute and passes model and telephony costs through at the provider's rate. That is transparent and flexible, and it lets you swap a cheaper model if cost matters more than polish. A prepaid Core plan is $29 a month, and the entry package starts at $0 with $5 in free credits. Because the totals depend on the models you choose, you cannot read a single all-in price off the page; the vendor itself notes the per-minute total is higher than the hosting fee. Add-ons include HIPAA at $2,000 a month and extra concurrency at $10 per line a month. Limitation: you design the voicebot's prompts, knowledge and tools, so the cost of engineer time belongs in your estimate.

4. Retell AI: an itemised per-minute rate

Retell lists the parts of its per-minute rate (voice infrastructure, text-to-speech, LLM and telephony), starting at $0.07 a minute with an example total of $0.11 a minute. Billing is to the nearest second and failed calls are not billed. New accounts receive $10 in free credits and can run up to 20 free concurrent calls on pay-as-you-go. A voicebot on your site uses the Web SDK or the embeddable widget. Limitation: there is no free plan, and the pricing page has minor inconsistencies on phone-number fees. It is primarily a phone platform, so a web-only voicebot uses a small part of what you are paying for in complexity.

Putting numbers on it

A simple way to compare: write down expected monthly voice conversations and an average length in minutes. For minute-based tools (ElevenLabs, Vapi, Retell), multiply and add the extras the vendor lists. For AnveVoice, run a handful of real conversations on the Free plan and watch the token meter to see which tier you land in. Do the same sum for a month that is three times busier than normal. Flat tiers rarely change at triple volume until you cross a limit; per-minute bills scale straight up. That asymmetry, not the headline price, is usually what decides this choice.

What none of them replace

A voicebot answers from the content you give it, so the quality of the answers is mostly the quality of your knowledge base. Plan time to review conversations in the first two weeks and correct anything wrong, regardless of which product you pick.
