Best Voice AI for Websites (2026): 5 Tools Compared
Five tools that let visitors talk to a website by voice in the browser, compared on setup effort, page actions, pricing basis and limits. Checked 2026-10-14.
Best voice AI for websites: five tools compared
If you want visitors to speak to your website in the browser, five products publish a way to do it: AnveVoice, ElevenLabs, Retell AI, Vapi and Deepgram. They split into ready-to-install agents and developer kits, and the right pick depends mostly on how much you want to build yourself. Researched from the sources below on 2026-10-14. AnveVoice is our product and appears in this list. Other tools are described from their own websites, checked on 2026-10-14. We do not receive payment from any tool listed.
How we chose
We only listed tools whose own sites describe voice inside a web page. Phone-only voice agents and text-only chatbots are excluded, even good ones. Here is how we weighed what remained.
- Voice in the visitor's browser (weighted most): the tool must describe a web widget or browser SDK, so nobody needs a phone number or an app.
- Build effort: a script-tag install ranks above a toolkit you assemble, because most site owners are not voice engineers.
- Acting on the page: whether the agent can navigate pages or fill the site's own forms, not only talk.
- Pricing predictability: flat tiers are easier to budget than per-minute rates that stack provider costs.
- Language coverage as published, and any limitation the vendor itself states.
The shortlist at a glance
Tools are ordered by fit to the criteria above, not by price or popularity. Pricing columns describe how each vendor charges, using the vendor's own pricing page checked on 2026-10-14.

1. AnveVoice: a turnkey agent that talks and acts on the page
AnveVoice is a website voice agent. Visitors speak to it in the browser, it answers from the site's own content, and it can navigate pages and fill the site's own forms. Setup is one script tag, with a WordPress plugin and a Shopify app also listed. It publishes a median end-to-end latency of about 487 ms (712 ms at P95) on its own site. Pricing from its pricing page on 2026-10-14: Free at $0 (50,000 tokens a month, 1 bot, no card), Growth at $39 a month (₹2,999; 2M tokens, 5 bots) and Scale at $129 a month (₹9,999; 8M tokens, unlimited bots). Limitation: it covers the website only, with no phone, SMS or WhatsApp channel. It ranks first here because it is the only one of the five whose published description combines in-browser voice, on-page actions and a no-code install; if you need telephony or want to design your own voice pipeline, the other four will serve you better.
2. ElevenLabs Agents: drop-in widget with a deep voice catalogue
ElevenLabs lets you add a customizable web widget, an <elevenlabs-convai> element, to any website, and the same agent can also take phone calls through SIP trunking or a Twilio integration. Agent configuration supports 31 languages per its docs, and the underlying text-to-speech model is described as covering more than 70. Plans are measured in call minutes: Free ($0, 15 minutes, 4 concurrent calls), Starter $6 a month (75 minutes), Creator $22 (275), Pro $99 (1,238), Scale $299 (3,738) and Business $990 (12,375), with extra minutes at $0.08. Limitation: LLM usage is billed separately, and its docs list navigating pages or touching the DOM only as example uses of developer-written client tools, so on-page actions are something you code rather than a built-in feature.
3. Retell AI: phone-first platform that can also sit on a web page
Retell is built around phone agents, but its site documents a Web SDK for web calls and an embeddable voice widget. That makes it a fit when the same agent should answer a phone line and also greet visitors on the site, since you configure it once in the dashboard or through the API. It charges per minute and itemises the parts (voice infrastructure, text-to-speech, LLM, telephony): from $0.07 a minute, with a headline range of $0.07 to $0.31 and a worked example of $0.11. New accounts get $10 in free credits; failed calls are not billed and billing runs to the nearest second. Limitations: it has no free plan, on-page actions are not described, and its pricing page contains small inconsistencies about phone-number fees.
4. Vapi: a developer platform with a script-tag widget
Vapi documents two browser routes: a widget loaded from a CDN with a script tag (configured with a public key and assistant ID) and an npm package, @vapi-ai/web, for building your own component. Models and telephony are passed through at provider cost, which suits developers who want to choose each part. The platform fee is $0.05 per minute for hosting, and models and transport are added on top, so the real per-minute cost is higher. A Core plan is $29 a month prepaid, new accounts start with $5 in free credits, and HIPAA support is a $2,000-a-month add-on. Limitations: no free plan, languages are not stated on the pages we read, and you must handle prompts, knowledge and page behaviour yourself.
5. Deepgram Voice Agent API: the lowest-level building block
Deepgram sells the voice-agent pipeline as an API: you stream audio over a WebSocket and it handles listening, thinking and speaking. A Browser Agent SDK adds voice to web applications, which is why it counts as partial rather than a ready widget. You can bring your own LLM or text-to-speech. Standard pay-as-you-go is $0.075 a minute ($0.068 on Growth); Advanced is $0.163 ($0.146); bring-your-own options go as low as $0.050. New accounts get $200 in credit with no card. Limitation: it is a toolkit, not an installable assistant, so a site owner without developers will not get a working assistant from it, and languages for the Voice Agent API are not published (its voices mention English and Spanish).
How to choose between them
Start with who will maintain it. If nobody on your team writes code, pick the tool you can install with one tag and configure in a dashboard; that points to AnveVoice. If you already have developers and want the best voices or full control of the stack, ElevenLabs, Vapi or Deepgram give you more levers, at the price of building the behaviour yourself. Then check the billing shape. Flat tiers (AnveVoice) make a bill predictable; per-minute rates (Retell, Vapi, Deepgram) track usage closely but depend on provider add-ons, and credit-based call minutes (ElevenLabs) sit between the two. Model your expected monthly minutes before you decide.
A 30-minute test before you commit
- Install the widget on a staging page and say three real visitor questions aloud; note any wrong or invented answers.
- Ask it to do one thing on the page, such as find a pricing page or start a contact form, and see whether it acts or only describes.
- Try your two most important non-English languages, because published language counts rarely say how well each one works.
- Read the pricing page twice and write down what is billed outside the headline rate, such as LLM usage, telephony or compliance add-ons.
