Best WhatsApp Business Chatbot (2026): 7 Tools Compared
Seven tools for building a WhatsApp Business chatbot, compared on pricing basis, message fees, AI agents and who each suits.
Best WhatsApp Business chatbot: seven tools compared
WhatsApp chatbots live on the WhatsApp Business Platform, where Meta charges message fees on top of vendor subscriptions. Seven tools publish WhatsApp support: Wati, Interakt, Gupshup, Botpress, Landbot, Typebot and Haptik. This page compares how each charges and whom it suits. Researched from the sources below on 2026-10-14. AnveVoice is our product. It is left out of the ranked list because it does not fit this use case, and the page says so. Other tools are described from their own websites, checked on 2026-10-14. We do not receive payment from any tool listed.
How we chose
WhatsApp is a messaging channel, not a website widget, so the criteria differ from our website chatbot roundups. AnveVoice is not on this list because it has no WhatsApp channel.
- WhatsApp is a core channel, not an afterthought (weighted most).
- Pricing clarity, including how Meta's message fees appear next to the vendor's fee.
- Automation: a no-code builder or AI agents, plus a shared team inbox.
- Region fit, including rupee pricing for India.
- Stated limits, such as user seats, trials or what needs an enterprise contract.
The shortlist at a glance
Tools are ordered by fit to the criteria above, not by price or popularity. Pricing columns describe how each vendor charges, using the vendor's own pricing page checked on 2026-10-14.

1. WATI: WhatsApp team inbox with AI agents
WATI combines AI agents (Astra) with a shared team inbox mainly for WhatsApp and Instagram. It offers a no-code AI Agent Builder, broadcasts, automation triggers, 100+ integrations including Shopify, HubSpot and Salesforce, and Voice AI on the Business plan via WhatsApp Business Calling. As shown to an India-region visitor, Growth (3 users) is INR 2,199 a month billed annually, INR 2,699 quarterly or INR 2,999 monthly; Pro is INR 4,899 annually and Business INR 14,799 annually. WhatsApp message fees are billed separately per Meta's rate card, and a 7-day trial needs no card. Limitation: prices vary by region and extra users cost INR 1,299 (Pro) or INR 2,199 (Business) each.
2. Interakt: rupee-priced WhatsApp suite for Indian SMBs
Interakt is a WhatsApp Business Platform with a team inbox, no-code chatbot builder, a sales CRM and AI agents for sales, lead qualification and support. It also covers Instagram DM and comment automation, RCS fallback and an AI call receptionist. The Marketing & Support Hub starts with a Starter tier that has no subscription fee and per-message fees only, then Growth at INR 2,799 and Advanced at INR 3,799 a month; WhatsApp AI Agents are INR 2,499 a month. Yearly billing saves 20% and per-message fees for Indian numbers are published. Limitation: prices are INR plus taxes for Indian numbers only.
3. Gupshup: per-message pricing across messaging channels
Gupshup is a conversational AI platform centred on WhatsApp and also covering Instagram, SMS, RCS and WhatsApp voice calls, with AI agents for sales, marketing and support that escalate to people. Its self-serve WhatsApp pricing is published openly. The Gupshup fee is $0.001 per message, plus WhatsApp fees at actuals, and voice at $0.0001 per second; the first 1,000 WhatsApp service messages carry no WhatsApp fee, and the page says Meta will charge for service messages from October 1, 2026. Limitation: setup steps are not on the pages we read, and enterprise pricing is on a separate page.
4. Botpress: a builder with WhatsApp as one channel
Botpress deploys agents to webchat, WhatsApp, Slack and Viber, and agents can take actions such as refunds through workflows. Its free plan allows 100 conversations a month, 3 seats and 3 AI agents with no overages. Plus is $150 a month billed annually for 250 conversations; Team is $750 for 1,500. Limitation: a WhatsApp number and Meta fees are still yours to arrange, the builder is aimed at developers, and extra conversations are sold in packs of 100.
5. Landbot: guided chatbots with a WhatsApp plan
Landbot builds no-code chatbots for web and WhatsApp Business, with an AI Copilot, HubSpot and Salesforce integrations and human handoff. WhatsApp is a separate plan or add-on rather than part of the free tier. Professional is EUR 80 a month billed annually (EUR 100 monthly) for 2,500 chats; Professional WA is EUR 160, and the WhatsApp add-on is EUR 100 a month on Professional. Limitation: WhatsApp costs noticeably more than web chat, and prices are in EUR for EU billing and USD elsewhere.
6. Typebot: open-source flows that also run on WhatsApp
Typebot's bots can embed on a website or run on WhatsApp, with HTTP request triggers and 45+ building blocks. It is open source with no lock-in stated, and the free plan includes unlimited typebots and 200 chats a month. Starter is $39 a month for 2,000 chats and Pro $89 for 10,000, monthly only. Limitation: you handle the WhatsApp Business API connection and fees, and the dataset describes no team inbox.
7. Haptik (Jio Haptik): WhatsApp and voice agents for large enterprises
Haptik builds conversational AI agents with a WhatsApp and RCS focus, voice agents in over a hundred languages, an Agent Studio and an omnichannel agent inbox, sold primarily to enterprises in India. Limitation: no pricing is published (the pricing page redirects to the homepage, which offers a demo), no free plan, and it is the heaviest option on this list for a small business.
Where AnveVoice fits
AnveVoice is a website voice and chat agent with no WhatsApp channel, so it is not in this list. A business that wants both can run a WhatsApp tool for messaging and a website agent for visitors.
Costs people forget
- Meta's per-conversation or per-message fees are separate from the vendor fee, and rates differ by country and message type.
- Extra user seats on inbox tools can double the bill for a team.
- Templates for outbound messages require approval and may carry higher fees than replies.
- Verified business status and number setup take time; ask each vendor who handles them.
