Voice Agent Template for Manufacturer Websites
Ready-to-adapt AnveVoice setup for manufacturer sites: specs, quote and distributor questions, agent instructions, RFQ routing and claims to avoid.
Voice agent template: manufacturer website
Manufacturer website visitors are usually engineers, buyers or distributors with a specification in hand: can you make it, what are the minimum order and lead time, and where is the datasheet. This template sets AnveVoice up to answer from your catalogue and capability pages and guide visitors to datasheets and your request-for-quote form, without making unpublished technical or certification claims. Researched from the sources below on 2026-10-14.
At a glance
- Best first goal: Get a complete, qualified request for quote or the right datasheet to the visitor quickly
- Main risk to manage: Unpublished technical, certification or origin claims
- Pages it needs: Product catalogue, datasheets, capabilities, quality certificates, lead times, distributors, RFQ form, spare parts
- Channel: Your website only; it does not connect to your ERP, CAD or order systems
Who visits a manufacturer website and why
- An engineer who needs a datasheet, drawing or CAD file for a specific part number and does not want to wade through marketing.
- A buyer asking about minimum order quantities, lead times and price breaks for a standard or custom part.
- A product designer asking whether you can manufacture to their drawing, tolerances and material.
- A distributor or reseller looking for the dealer application, territory information and pricing terms.
- An existing customer who needs a spare part, a replacement, a manual or a warranty claim.
- A quality or compliance manager asking which certifications, material declarations and test reports are available.
- A buyer comparing your standard range with alternatives by material, size and performance.
- A person asking about country of origin, sustainability information or supplier documents for a vendor review.
What to give the agent
Technical visitors will test the agent with precise questions. It is only as good as the structure and accuracy of your product and capability pages, so give it the same detail an applications engineer would use.
- Product pages and a catalogue index with part numbers, specifications, materials and tolerances in a consistent format.
- Datasheets, drawings and manuals as downloadable documents that the agent can reference by name.
- Capabilities: processes, materials, size limits and what you cannot make.
- Minimum order quantities, standard lead times and any rush options, stated as ranges you can honour.
- Quality information: certifications you hold, with certificate numbers and dates, and what test reports are available.
- Country of origin and compliance statements that you can stand behind, including any origin claims.
- Distributor and dealer information, spare parts and warranty procedures, and the RFQ form.
Agent instructions (copy into your dashboard)
- 1. Paste and edit the company name, products and page names — These instructions keep the agent to published specifications and routing. Replace the bracketed parts and keep the no-unpublished-claims rule. Code: You are the website assistant for [Company Name], a manufacturer of [products]. Speak in a clear, precise, professional way and match the visitor's language. Your job: help visitors find the right product information and reach the right team. Use only the product pages, datasheets and policies on this website. For a part number or specification question, open the product page and read the published values exactly, including units and tolerances. For documents, name the datasheet or drawing and open the [Downloads] page. For custom parts, explain the capabilities listed on the [Capabilities] page and open the [Request a quote] form, helping fill in the part description, quantity, material, delivery location and contact details the visitor gives. Read minimum order quantities and lead times only as the [Lead times] page states them. Rules: never state specifications, performance data, certifications, standards compliance or country-of-origin claims that are not published on this website. Do not interpret data to judge whether a part is suitable for a safety-critical or regulated application; tell the visitor to confirm with our engineering team through the [Contact engineering] page. Do not quote prices unless they are on the site. Distributors go to [Become a distributor]; customers needing spare parts or warranty go to [Support]. If you do not know, say so.
Pages and forms the agent should use
- Visitor need | Page or form | What the agent does
- Find a datasheet or drawing | Product page and downloads page | Names the document, opens the page and tells the visitor where to download
- Check a specification | Product page | Reads values with units and tolerances exactly as published
- Custom manufacturing | Capabilities page and RFQ form | Explains limits and helps fill in the request for quote
- Minimum order and lead time | Lead times page | Quotes ranges as published; recommends the RFQ for exact dates
- Certifications and documents | Quality or compliance page | Lists certificates held and where the document request form is
- Become a distributor | Distributor page and application | Explains criteria and helps fill in the application
- Spare parts or warranty | Support page and warranty form | Opens the right form and asks for the model and serial number
Questions to answer before going live
Question 11 tests the safety-critical rule and question 6 tests certification claims: the agent should only say what is published and refer to engineering.
- Where can I download the datasheet for part number 4521?
- What is the maximum operating temperature of this valve?
- What is your minimum order quantity?
- Can you manufacture to my drawing in stainless steel?
- How long is your lead time for a custom order?
- Do you hold ISO 9001 certification, and can I see the certificate?
- Is this part made in your own plant, and where?
- How do I become a distributor in my country?
- Do you provide RoHS or REACH declarations?
- I need a replacement part for a unit bought in 2019 — how do I order?
- Is this part suitable for use in a medical device?
- Can you give me a price for 500 units?
Keep out of scope
- Stating specifications, ratings, certifications or standards that are not published.
- Judging suitability for safety-critical, medical, aerospace or other regulated applications.
- Making origin claims such as 'made in' a country without published support.
- Quoting prices, discounts or lead times for custom orders without a quote.
- Accessing stock, order status or ERP data; it does not connect to these systems.
- Accepting CAD files or drawings in conversation; use the RFQ form or a secure channel.
Set up in four steps
- 1. Create the agent — Sign up at app.anvevoice.app (Free plan, no card) and create a bot for your manufacturer website address.
- 2. Paste the instructions — Add the instruction block above in the dashboard and replace the bracketed parts with your own details.
- 3. Install on your site — Add the script tag using the guide for your website platform at anvevoice.app/install.
- 4. Test the questions — Ask each of the 12 questions above by voice, fix any page that gave a weak answer, and test again.
Illustrative example
Illustrative example, not a recording of a real conversation.
- Visitor: "I need a datasheet for the 316 stainless ball valve, DN25."
- Agent: "Let me find it. I'll open the Ball valves category and look for the 316 stainless DN25."
- Agent opens the product page and reads the published pressure rating and temperature range.
- Visitor: "Can you make a version with a longer stem?"
- Agent: "Custom variants are handled through a quote request. The Capabilities page lists the options. I'll open the form and start with the part, size and quantity."
- Visitor gives quantity and delivery country; the agent fills those in and points out the contact fields.
- Agent: "For application suitability, our engineering team confirms it. I've included that in the form notes."
