Add a Voice AI Agent to a Duda Website (2026)
Add the AnveVoice voice agent to a Duda site using Head HTML or Body End HTML in Settings. Plan note, consent advice, publishing and testing tips.
How to add AnveVoice to a Duda website
In the Duda editor open More, Settings, Header HTML and paste the AnveVoice tag into the Body End HTML field, then publish the site. Duda recommends body-end for scripts, and its help says custom code is available on Team plans and above. Researched from the sources below on 2026-10-14.
At a glance
- Where the code goes: More, Settings, Header HTML, Body End HTML field (site-wide)
- Plan limit: Duda's help lists Custom Code on Team plans and higher
- Other options: HTML widget on a page, or developer mode body-end.html
- Goes live: After a full site publish
Who you are installing for
Duda is built mostly for agencies, web professionals and hosting or SaaS companies that resell sites to small businesses. That has one practical effect: the person who owns the Duda editor may not be the business owner. If a web agency built your site, ask them to add the tag or give you access to the editor. The steps below are for whoever has editor access. Get the embed ID from app.anvevoice.app before you start. The AnveVoice Free plan is $0, with 50,000 tokens a month and no card.
- 1. Copy the tag — Replace YOUR_EMBED_ID with the ID from the dashboard. Options: &position=bottom-left and &theme=dark. Code: <script src="https://anvevoice.app/embed.js?embedId=YOUR_EMBED_ID" async></script>
Site-wide install in Settings
Duda's help says code that visitors should not see belongs in the header or the body end, and that scripts normally belong at the body end. It also notes that consent-management apps cannot block code placed in the header, so body end is the recommended location whenever a cookie-consent tool is in use.
- 1. Open Settings — In the side panel click More, then Settings. In some versions the entry is called SEO & Settings.
- 2. Open Header HTML — Click Header HTML. This screen holds a Head HTML field and a Body End HTML field.
- 3. Paste into Body End HTML — Paste the AnveVoice tag into Body End HTML. That puts it just before the closing body tag on every page. Duda warns that the head is meant for link, script and meta tags only, and that pixel-style code there sometimes disappears.
- 4. Save — Click Save.
- 5. Publish — Publish the site. Duda's Settings are mostly unavailable until a site is published, and live changes need a full site publish.
Other ways to place it
- HTML widget. Duda says custom code that should be visible goes in an HTML widget: open the Add panel, go to Elements, search for HTML and drag the widget onto the page. Placed in the header or footer it appears site-wide, otherwise on one page. For AnveVoice, Settings is cleaner because the button draws itself.
- Developer mode. Open the editor's developer mode, expand Site HTML / CSS and choose body-end.html. Paste the tag on the last line. Duda points to this when you need code at the very end of the body.
- Single page head. A page's header HTML can be edited through its SEO settings if you want a single page only, but Duda notes that a single-page publish does not apply theme-level changes such as header and footer.
- Duda API. Developers who build Duda apps can inject site-wide HTML using the integration API; code appears in the editor straight away and goes live on publish. You will not need this for a normal install.
Plan and publishing notes
Duda's help lists Custom Code as available on Team plans and higher, so a lower plan may not show the fields. White-label partners can also restrict what their customers see, so a missing field might be an agency setting and not a Duda rule. Test in the right place. Duda warns that preview runs over HTTPS while a live site may not, which often breaks custom code, and suggests trying header code on a separate test site first. For AnveVoice, make sure your live site is on HTTPS: the microphone will not work otherwise.
Check it works
- 1. Open the published site — Visit your live domain in a private window.
- 2. Look for the button — A round microphone appears at the bottom-right, or bottom-left if you set position.
- 3. Ask a question — Click it, allow the microphone and ask something about a page.
Common problems
- Fields missing: your plan is below Team, or your reseller has hidden them.
- Code disappears from the head: Duda says this is common for pixel-style code; keep AnveVoice in Body End HTML.
- Works in preview, not live: the live site is not on HTTPS, or you have not published.
- Wrong page set: a single-page publish does not apply site-wide settings; run a full publish.
