Add a Voice AI Agent to Teachable (Code Snippets)

How to add AnveVoice to a Teachable school

In Teachable, open Site, then Code Snippets, and paste the AnveVoice tag into the head section. Code Snippets is available on the Builder plan and above, and it does not run on SSO login or checkout pages. Steps checked against the official documentation on 2026-10-14.

Before you start

You need the embed ID from your AnveVoice dashboard at app.anvevoice.app. The Free AnveVoice plan needs no card, so you can test before you commit to anything. The tag you will paste is shown below. Teachable keeps third-party code in one feature called Code Snippets. Teachable's help center says it is available to school owners on the Builder plan and above, so a school on a lower plan will not see a way to save a head script. Teachable also states plainly that its support team does not troubleshoot custom code, so test on a school you can afford to break before adding it to a busy one.

Add the tag in Code Snippets

The same screen has three areas: head snippets that apply to every page, a Logged In Snippets section and a Logged Out Snippets section. Teachable documents the head box as the place for HTML and JavaScript that belongs inside the head tag of all pages in your school.

1. Sign in to your school — Log in as the school owner and choose Site from the left sidebar.
2. Open Code Snippets — Click Code Snippets. The head code box for all pages is on this screen.
3. Paste the tag — Paste the AnveVoice script tag into the head snippet field, below anything you already use for analytics or a pixel.
4. Save — Click Save. Open your school in a private window to see the change; there is no separate publish step for snippets.

Choosing which visitors see the agent

Because Teachable splits snippets by login state, you can decide who gets the voice agent without any code. Put the tag in the ordinary head box to show it to everyone. Put it only in Logged Out Snippets if you want it to help prospects on your sales pages but stay out of students' way inside courses. Put it only in Logged In Snippets if you want a study helper for enrolled students and nothing on your public pages. Do not paste the same tag into several boxes unless you want it duplicated. AnveVoice ignores a second copy on the same page, but keeping a single placement makes it easier to remove later.

Pages where head snippets will not run

Teachable warns that head code snippets do not affect login or checkout pages served from its SSO domain (sso.teachable.com). If your school uses SSO, expect the voice button to be absent there, the same way tracking pixels are. Everything on your own school domain, including course pages and lecture pages, is covered.

Check that it works

1. Load a public page while logged out — Use a private browser window on your school's homepage or a course sales page.
2. Click the microphone button — It appears in the bottom-right corner unless you set another position. Allow the microphone and ask about your courses.
3. Repeat while logged in — If you used Logged In Snippets, sign in as a test student and open a lecture to confirm the button appears.

Common problems

No Code Snippets item under Site: your plan is probably below Builder. Upgrade or host the voice agent on a separate page.
Button missing on checkout: if your school routes checkout through the SSO domain, head snippets do not run there.
Button appears for students but not prospects: you pasted into Logged In Snippets. Move it to the all-pages head box.
Layout looks odd after saving: remove any other script you added at the same time to find the conflict, since Teachable will not debug custom code for you.
