AnveVoice

Add a Voice AI Agent to Unbounce Pages

Add the AnveVoice voice agent to Unbounce with the builder's Javascripts panel or domain-wide Script Manager, with placement, preview and duplicate notes.

How to add AnveVoice to Unbounce landing pages

Unbounce offers two places for a script: the Javascripts panel inside the Classic Builder for one page, and Script Manager under Settings for every page on a custom domain. Use Script Manager for a site-wide voice agent, and always test on the published page because scripts do not run in preview. Steps checked against the official documentation on 2026-10-14.

At a glance

  • Where the code goes: Classic Builder: Javascripts button (bottom left). Domain-wide: Settings > Script Manager
  • Requirement: Script Manager needs your own custom domain, not the test domain unbouncepages.com
  • Plan limits: Unbounce's script articles and pricing page do not name a plan restriction
  • Testing: Custom JavaScript does not run in Preview or inside the builder; use the published URL

Two scopes, one tag

Unbounce's documentation separates page-level scripts from domain-level scripts. A script added in the Classic Builder lives on that one landing page. A script added in Script Manager applies to all pages on a custom domain, or several domains, and is applied automatically to new pages published there. Which you choose depends on whether the voice agent should be everywhere or just on a single campaign page. Unbounce's support team states that it supports the builder's native features, while troubleshooting custom scripts is outside its scope. Keep that in mind and verify in your browser tools. • 1. Prepare the tag — The documentation reminds you to wrap scripts in script tags; the AnveVoice line already is wrapped. Code: <script src="https://anvevoice.app/embed.js?embedId=YOUR_EMBED_ID" async></script>

Method 1: one page in the Classic Builder

  • 1. Open the page — Open your landing page in the Classic Builder.
  • 2. Click Javascripts — Use the Javascripts button at the bottom left of the builder. An empty dialog appears.
  • 3. Name it and choose the placement — Give the script a name. For Placement, the builder offers Head, After Body Tag and Before Body End Tag. Before Body End Tag is a good fit for AnveVoice.
  • 4. Paste, Done, then publish — Paste the tag and click Done at the bottom right. Then save and publish or republish the page, because the change is not live until you do.

Method 2: Script Manager for a whole domain

Script Manager scripts then load on every page for the chosen domain, and the Javascripts section of the page builder lists them once they are enabled. Unbounce documents that global scripts load after scripts that sit in your page variants, which rarely matters for an asynchronous widget.

  • 1. Open Script Manager — Click Settings in the left menu and select Script Manager.
  • 2. Add a script — Click Add a Script at the top right, enter a name, and click Add Script Details.
  • 3. Set placement and pages — Choose a Placement from the drop-down, then use Included on to apply it to main pages, confirmation dialog pages, or both.
  • 4. Paste and pick domains — Paste the tag in the editor, tick the domain or domains on the right, and click Save Changes.

Smart Builder pages

Unbounce has a Smart Builder alongside the Classic Builder. The Classic Builder article we read covers the Javascripts panel only. Unbounce's separate article for Smart Builder custom scripts sits behind a support sign-in, so we could not read it. For Smart Builder pages, the documented option we verified is Script Manager, which applies by domain. Confirm the result on a published Smart Builder page and consult Unbounce's current Smart Builder article from your account if you need a page-level script there.

Avoid running it twice

The Script Manager article warns that if a page already contains the same script and you add it to Script Manager too, the code can execute twice. AnveVoice ignores a second copy, but analytics tags do not, so the advice matters when you later add other scripts. When migrating a script to Script Manager, remove it from each page first, then add it once at domain level. Unbounce suggests deleting the page-level copies, adding the domain script, and then republishing quickly to keep the gap short.

Check that it works

  • 1. Skip the preview — Unbounce says custom JavaScript will not run in Preview mode or in the Classic Builder. Open the published landing page instead.
  • 2. Find the button — Look for the round microphone at bottom-right. Click it, allow microphone access, and ask a question.
  • 3. Check each domain — If you ticked several domains in Script Manager, load one page per domain.

Common problems

  • Nothing in Preview: expected. Visit the published URL.
  • Script Manager unavailable: it requires your own custom domain. The default test domain cannot use it.
  • Changes not appearing: you saved but did not republish the page.
  • Button missing on a confirmation dialog: set Included on to cover confirmation dialog pages.
  • Microphone blocked: the page must be served over HTTPS.
