AnveVoice

Add a Voice AI Agent to a Durable Website (2026)

Add the AnveVoice voice agent to a Durable site via Website Settings → Integrations → Custom Code or the Footer Code box, with plan notes and publish steps.

How to add AnveVoice to a Durable website

Durable offers custom code in two forms: a site-wide Custom Code entry under Website Settings, and Head Code and Footer Code boxes in settings. Add the AnveVoice tag with the Body placement, save, and publish. Custom code is a paid-plan feature on Durable, so the Free preview plan will not run it. Steps checked against the official documentation on 2026-10-14.

At a glance

  • Where the code goes: Website → Settings → Integrations → Custom Code → placement Body (or Footer Code under Custom code)
  • Coding needed: None; name the snippet, choose Body, paste, save
  • Plan limits: Durable's pricing page lists custom code on its paid Launch plan; the Free plan is a website preview
  • Time: About 2 minutes

Before you start

Grab the embed ID from app.anvevoice.app first. Durable generates a site quickly with AI, so a fresh site is the usual starting point; the AnveVoice tag does not care how the pages were created. Durable's help center currently documents two editor generations. The article "Add Custom Code to Your Website" belongs to the current Website Editor and uses Integrations → Custom Code. "Embed Custom Code in Your Website or Page Settings" is filed under Website Editor (Legacy) and uses Head Code and Footer Code boxes. Look at your own Website Settings to see which one you have; the steps below cover both.

  • 1. Copy the install tag — The line below is everything AnveVoice needs. Swap YOUR_EMBED_ID for your own ID. Add &position=bottom-left or &theme=dark to the URL if you want to change placement or colour scheme. Code: <script src="https://anvevoice.app/embed.js?embedId=YOUR_EMBED_ID" async></script>

Plans: what you need for custom code

Durable's pricing page shows a Free plan described as a website preview, a Launch plan whose feature list includes custom code, and a higher Grow plan. In other words the Free tier lets you build and preview, while publishing a live site with custom scripts needs a paid plan. Older articles in Durable's help center say custom code is available on the Growth plan, and the plan names on the pricing page have since changed; go by the current pricing page. Before paying, open Website → Settings in your account. If Integrations or Custom code is present, you can try it; Durable states the code runs on the published site.

Method 1: Integrations → Custom Code (current editor)

Durable states that custom code added here runs on every page and cannot currently be limited to specific pages. If you want AnveVoice on only one page, use the page-level Head Code or Footer Code boxes described below.

  • 1. Open the Custom Code section — From your dashboard go to Website → Settings → Integrations → Custom Code, then choose the option to add a custom script or code.
  • 2. Name the snippet — Give it a label such as AnveVoice so you can disable or delete it later.
  • 3. Choose the placement — Durable offers Head (end of the head) and Body (end of the body). Choose Body. The AnveVoice script is asynchronous, so Head also works, but Body keeps the load behind your content.
  • 4. Paste the code and save — Paste the script line into the Code box and click Save. Durable states that this applies the code site-wide.
  • 5. Publish — Publish your website from the editor so the live site loads the code.

Method 2: Footer Code in settings or page settings

If your Website Settings have a Custom code area with Head Code and Footer Code, paste the tag into Footer Code (it loads before the closing body tag) and click Save to apply it site-wide. For one page, hover the page under Pages, open its settings, scroll to Custom code, and use the same two boxes, then Save and Publish. Durable also has a toggle called Force custom code render at the bottom of the Custom code section. Its help article says to turn it on if a third-party widget or script does not display correctly on a page; it is intended for troubleshooting and testing new snippets. Leave it off at first, and switch it on for the affected page if the voice button does not appear. The Embed section (Add Section → Embed → Edit custom code) is a third route, but it places code at a position on one page and is meant for visible content such as maps. For AnveVoice it is the wrong tool.

Check that it works

  • 1. View the published site — Durable notes embedded code is not rendered in the web editor. Open the live address in a private window.
  • 2. Find and test the button — The microphone appears at the bottom-right by default. Click it, allow microphone access and ask a question about your business.
  • 3. Compare a second page — With Method 1 or the site-wide boxes the button should appear on every page. If it shows on one page only, you added the code at page level.

Common problems on Durable

  • Custom Code is missing from Integrations: you may be on the Free plan, or in the legacy editor where the boxes live in Settings instead.
  • Saved but invisible: publish the site, then hard-refresh. The editor never shows the widget.
  • Appears on one page: page-level code was used. Move it to the site-wide entry.
  • Two buttons: the tag exists both as a Custom Code entry and in Footer Code. Disable one using the settings icon beside the entry, which Durable says stops it running immediately.
  • Third-party code not trusted: Durable asks that you only paste code from a source you trust. The AnveVoice tag loads from anvevoice.app over HTTPS.
