AnveVoice

Add a Voice AI Agent to SITE123 (2026 Guide)

Add the AnveVoice voice agent to a SITE123 website with the editor's Plugins and Custom Code option: exact menu path, placement choice and what to check.

How to add AnveVoice to a SITE123 website

SITE123 keeps site-wide scripts in one place: Settings, then Plugins, then Add New Custom Code. You name the snippet, choose where it loads, paste the AnveVoice tag and save. Nothing needs to be uploaded, and SITE123 does not let you edit raw page source, so this is the route to use. Steps checked against the official documentation on 2026-10-14.

At a glance

  • Where the code goes: Settings (gear icon) → Plugins → Add New → Add New Custom Code, placed before the closing body tag
  • Coding needed: None: name the snippet, pick a placement, paste one line
  • Plan limits: SITE123's Custom Code article lists no plan requirement; see the plan section below for what to verify
  • Time: About 2 minutes once you have your embed ID

Before you start

Create your AnveVoice account at app.anvevoice.app and add your website to get an embed ID. The Free plan costs nothing and asks for no card, so you can finish the SITE123 side first and test with the real voice button. SITE123 is a hosted, no-code builder. Its own Editor FAQ states that you build on its servers only, and that source code editing and website export are not available. That is why there is no header.php or template file to open; all third-party snippets go through the Plugins area described next.

  • 1. Have the tag ready — This is the complete line. Swap YOUR_EMBED_ID for the value shown in your AnveVoice dashboard. If you want the button on the left or a dark panel, add &position=bottom-left or &theme=dark after the ID. Code: <script src="https://anvevoice.app/embed.js?embedId=YOUR_EMBED_ID" async></script>

Add the tag as a Custom Code snippet

This follows SITE123's support article "Add Plugins or Custom Code". The same screen also installs marketplace plugins, so make sure you pick the custom code option and not the plugin one. Using the Custom Code page type instead? Do not paste the tag there. SITE123 shows that page's code inside an iframe, so a script placed on it belongs to that single page and cannot float over the rest of the site. Its own article points to the Plugins section for code that must run across the whole site.

  • 1. Open the editor and the Plugins screen — Log in, open the website you want to change, click the Settings gear icon in the editor, and select Plugins.
  • 2. Choose Add New Custom Code — Click Add New, then Add New Custom Code (the other choice is Add New Plugin, which is for marketplace tools).
  • 3. Name it and switch it on — Type a name you will recognise later, such as AnveVoice voice agent, and set Enable to Yes. A snippet that is left disabled saves but never loads.
  • 4. Pick the place — Under "Set the code place" the options are After opening the head tag, Before the closing head tag, After opening body tag and Before closing the body tag. Choose Before closing the body tag. The AnveVoice script is asynchronous, so the head also works, but the end of the body keeps it out of the way of your page content.
  • 5. Paste the snippet exactly as given — SITE123 warns to paste the snippet with its HTML wrapper, not as plain text. Include the full script tag from the line above, opening bracket to closing tag.
  • 6. Save and publish — Click Save. SITE123's editor guide says that most changes auto-save and only go live when you press Publish, so publish the site afterwards and test on the public address, not inside the editor.

Which SITE123 plan do you need?

The support article for custom code gives no plan restriction, and the pricing page lists Free and Premium tiers with differences in storage, bandwidth, domain connection and the SITE123 floating tag, without a line about custom code. Some review sites claim the feature needs Premium. That is not stated by SITE123, so treat it as unconfirmed: open Settings → Plugins on your own account, and if Add New Custom Code is missing or locked, check your plan before spending time on anything else. Two practical points apply either way. Free SITE123 sites live on a subdomain, and the microphone only works over HTTPS, so test on the address visitors actually use. And if you later connect your own domain, re-test: the snippet is stored on the website, so it normally carries over, but it is worth a thirty-second check.

Check that it works

  • 1. Open the published site in a private window — Use the live address, not the editor preview. Judge the result on the published site rather than inside the editor.
  • 2. Find the microphone button — A round button should sit in the bottom-right corner (or where your position setting says). Click it, allow the microphone prompt, and ask a question your site can answer.
  • 3. Test on a second page and on mobile — The snippet is site-wide, so it should appear on every page type that uses the normal site layout. Check at least the homepage and one inner page on a phone.

Common problems on SITE123

  • Nothing appears and the snippet looks saved: confirm Enable is set to Yes, the code place is one of the four choices, and you published after saving.
  • Code shows up as visible text: the tag was pasted without its script wrapper or was typed into a text content block. Re-create it under Plugins as Custom Code.
  • Button appears only on one page: you used a Custom Code page or a content element rather than the site-wide Plugins entry.
  • Two buttons: the tag was added twice, for example once before the head and once before the body. Delete one snippet. AnveVoice ignores a duplicate on the same page, but one entry is cleaner.
  • Microphone prompt never appears: the page is being served over plain HTTP or inside the editor frame. Load the https address of the published site.
