Add a Voice AI Agent to a Weebly Website (2026)
Add the AnveVoice voice agent to Weebly with the SEO Footer Code box or an Embed Code element. Menu paths, per-page code, publish step, and limits.
How to add AnveVoice to a Weebly website
Weebly's site editor has a Settings, SEO section with Header Code and Footer Code boxes that apply to every page. Paste the AnveVoice tag in Footer Code, save, then publish the site. Square's newer editor is more limited, so there is an Embed Code fallback. Researched from the sources below on 2026-10-14.
At a glance
- Where the code goes: Settings, SEO, Footer Code box (site-wide); Pages, SEO Settings, Header Code for a single page
- Plan limit: Weebly's help does not state a plan restriction for these boxes; availability depends on your editor version
- Coding needed: None
- Goes live: After you publish; changes often do not show in the editor
Weebly now belongs to Square
Weebly is owned by Square, and there are two editors in circulation. The classic Weebly site editor still has a Settings tab at the top, and Weebly's help page for site settings describes a Footer and Header Code section inside it that is meant for search-engine verification or analytics snippets. Newer sites that were created through Square Online use a different editor with a dashboard-style menu, and Square staff have said in the community forums that this editor is more limited when it comes to editing the head of a page. That difference decides which method you use. Work out which editor you have, then follow the matching section. If neither works, the honest fallback is a page on another host, covered at the end. Create your embed ID first at app.anvevoice.app; the Free plan is $0 with 50,000 tokens a month and no card.
- 1. Copy the AnveVoice tag — Use your own embed ID. Add &position=bottom-left or &theme=dark if you like. Code: <script src="https://anvevoice.app/embed.js?embedId=YOUR_EMBED_ID" async></script>
Method 1: site-wide Footer Code (classic editor)
- 1. Open Settings — In the Weebly site editor click Settings at the top of the screen.
- 2. Open the SEO section — Choose SEO. The Header Code and Footer Code boxes sit lower on that screen, below the page-title and description fields.
- 3. Paste into Footer Code — Paste the AnveVoice line into the Footer Code box. Moderators in Square's community explain that code placed in these boxes is added to every page automatically. Footer is the right box for a widget script; the Header Code box is used for verification meta tags.
- 4. Save — Click Save below the boxes.
- 5. Publish — Click Publish in the editor. Users report that header and footer code often does not show inside the editor itself and only appears on the published site.
Method 2: a single page
To put the agent on one page only, go to Pages, select the page and open its SEO Settings. That screen has its own Header Code box, and community answers confirm it is the per-page equivalent of the site-wide box. Header Code works for AnveVoice because the tag is asynchronous. Publish afterwards.
Method 3: Embed Code element
If you cannot find the SEO boxes, Weebly sites include an Embed Code element that holds custom HTML. Drag it onto the page, click it, choose to edit the custom HTML, paste the AnveVoice line and publish. This route has two downsides: the element belongs to the page it is on, so you repeat it for each page that should have the agent, and the element takes up space in the layout even though the voice button floats outside it.
What to expect on Weebly
- Plan limits are not stated. Weebly's help does not name a plan for the Header and Footer Code boxes, and older community threads show free sites using them. Your editor version matters more than your plan, but check your own account.
- Support does not cover custom code. Weebly and Square tell users to figure out custom-code problems themselves, so keep a note of what you pasted.
- Verification codes belong in the header. Weebly's own guidance puts search-engine and analytics verification in the header box. Keep that code there and put the AnveVoice tag in the footer so each stays tidy.
- Editor versus live. The editor often does not run these boxes. Always test on the published URL.
- Domain and HTTPS. The microphone needs HTTPS. Weebly sites with a connected domain and SSL are fine; check that your site address starts with https.
Check it works
- 1. Publish and open the live page — Use a private window so there is no cached copy.
- 2. Find the microphone — A round button appears at the bottom-right, or the bottom-left if you set position.
- 3. Ask a question — Click it, allow microphone access and ask about something on the page.
If it does not work
- No Footer Code box in Settings: you are probably in the newer Square editor. Use Method 3, or host the page elsewhere.
- Button missing on one page: the page may use its own Header Code box that overrides what you expect; add the tag there too, or remove the per-page code.
- Button appears after a delay: the script loads in the background after the page, which is normal.
