Add a Voice AI Agent to Zoho Sites (2026 Guide)
Add the AnveVoice voice agent to a Zoho Sites website through Customization → Code, using the Header Code or Footer Code box. Includes checks and fixes.
How to add AnveVoice to a Zoho Sites website
Zoho Sites has a Code area under Customization with two boxes, Header Code and Footer Code. Paste the AnveVoice tag into the footer box, save, and publish. Zoho's own pricing comparison lists header and footer code as an advanced control, so confirm your plan includes it. Steps checked against the official documentation on 2026-10-14.
At a glance
- Where the code goes: Zoho Sites dashboard → Customization → Code → Footer Code (or Header Code)
- Coding needed: None; paste one script line and click Save
- Plan limits: Help article gives no plan; the pricing page lists Header and footer code under Advanced controls, so verify per plan
- Time: About 2 minutes after you have your embed ID
Before you start
You need the AnveVoice embed ID from app.anvevoice.app. The Free plan is $0 with no card, so you can complete a real test without paying AnveVoice anything. Zoho Sites is part of the Zoho suite and has its own dashboard. The code area described below is a site-level setting, not something you reach through the page builder, so close any page you were editing and start from the site dashboard.
- 1. Prepare the script tag — Here is the exact line. Substitute YOUR_EMBED_ID for the ID in your AnveVoice dashboard. Optional URL parameters are &position=bottom-left and &theme=dark. Code: <script src="https://anvevoice.app/embed.js?embedId=YOUR_EMBED_ID" async></script>
Add the tag to the footer code
Zoho's help article "Header and Footer Code" describes the feature as a way to add third-party scripts such as analytics trackers and translator widgets, using tracker code, embed code or plugin code. A voice agent is the same type of script, so it belongs in the same place.
- 1. Open the Code screen — In the Zoho Sites dashboard click Customization, then Code.
- 2. Use the Footer Code box — There are two sections, Header Code and Footer Code. Put the AnveVoice line in Footer Code. Scripts at the end of the page keep the first paint fast, and the tag is asynchronous either way.
- 3. Save — Click Save when you finish. If you need to undo the change, Reset clears the box.
- 4. Publish if the editor asks you to — Zoho's article only mentions Save, but the live site is what visitors see. If the dashboard shows unpublished changes, publish them, then reload the live address.
Does your Zoho Sites plan include it?
The help article says nothing about plans. Zoho's pricing page, though, has an Advanced controls group that lists Schema generator, Verification files, Code snippet, and Header and footer code, with a Page specific variant. The plans on that page at the time of checking were Trial, Lite, Basic, Plus and Advanced, and the comparison is laid out as a grid whose ticks could not be read reliably from the page text. We therefore do not state which tier unlocks it. Do this instead: open Customization → Code on your own site. If the boxes are present and Save works, you are covered. If the Code option is greyed out or missing, compare your plan against the Advanced controls row on Zoho's pricing page, or ask Zoho support, before upgrading for this alone.
Header or footer, site-wide or one page
The Code screen applies to the whole site. The pricing page's Page specific wording suggests code can also be limited to individual pages, but the help article we checked only documents the site-level boxes, so use the footer box unless you have a reason to restrict the voice agent. If you want it on a subset of pages, create the tag in Footer Code and test whether your plan offers the page-level variant in the page settings; if it does not, a site-wide button is the supported route.
Check that it works
- 1. Load the live site, not the editor — Open the published address in a private window so that you see what visitors see, without logged-in extras.
- 2. Look for the bottom-right microphone — The AnveVoice button appears after the page loads. Click it, grant microphone access, and ask a question.
- 3. Inspect if it is missing — View the page source and search for embed.js. If it is absent, the code did not save or the site was not republished.
Common problems on Zoho Sites
- The code seems saved but nothing shows: there is a community thread in Zoho's help portal about header and footer code not appearing after saving. Publish again, clear your browser cache, and recheck.
- Code box missing: the feature may not be part of your plan; see the section above.
- Duplicate buttons: the tag exists in both Header Code and Footer Code. Keep one.
- Blocked microphone: the site must be on HTTPS, and the browser must be allowed to use the microphone for that domain.
- Page builder doesn't show the button: normal. Check the published site.
